Nice looking shoes with a classic style. Looks like they’re well made with good leather and neat stitching. Problem was with fit, which is singular for a persons foot type. The instep was too narrow for my husbands 4EEEE foot. Otherwise he would have kept them.

I like 101s. They are kind of just the right height. The bex sole is nice if you are looking for extra shock absorbing.

I am a big fan or Dr. Martens shoes and boots and own at least 6 pairs of shoes/ boots from them. I have both Made in England and Made in Thailand models. Unfortunately, there is no consistency in sizing – regardless of origin. Some will be roomy and comfortable up front while others will not be sized properly. The 101 BEX is improperly sized. It is short and very narrow in the toe box. i do not have a wide foot and always order standard width. As much as I wanted to keep them, I had to return them. I really wanted a pair of the 6 eye 101 boots and the BEX sole is really nice. These boots are beautifully finished and well made in Thailand, but I guess its just not for me. Please be careful when ordering this model, especially the guys. On a positive not, customer service at Zappos was first class as usual and processed the return without a problem.
