I bought my historically usual size UK5 but they were too tight on my toes with a thin sock. Checked against my 3 other pairs of this style and they seemed a bit ‘pointer.’ So sending back and getting the next size up. Hope they work because I really like the suede material.

I wear an 8.5-9 in US sizes and usually a 6 in UK sizes, but I have wide toes and a high arch and instep. I found that the UK 6 in these was a bit too narrow and the seam at the base of the tongue cut into the top of my foot. The UK 7 was really loose- until I put in a thin foam insert. Now the fit is perfect and the color and look is dreamy- the blue suede supple and a neutral dark denim color that goes perfectly with jeans and I can’t wait to stomp around in them. Oh, and these are about five pounds lighter than the last pair of Docs I owned in the early 2000’s!

These shoes are not friendly to anyone with high insteps/high volume feet/high arches. The seam where the top part meets the bottom part at the front cuts into my feet. Because it’s a stitched seam, there is no chance of it stretching or “breaking in.” I am usually a women’s 7.5 and I tried both the size 7 and the size 8. Shoes looked nice and substantial, but I cannot wear them for more than a few minutes.

I LOVE these boots! They look great with jeans and a sweater for casual Fridays. I’ve gotten so many compliments on them from my coworkers. They run big. I usually wear an 8 1/2, so I originally ordered the unisex size that was comparable to a women’s 9 and they were way too big, so I ordered one size down. The length is perfect, but they are a little wide, so I wear them with thick socks and they are super comfy.

I am no stranger to Dr.Martens. I have a few pairs, made of all different leathers and textiles. But This pair..OMG! I don’t know what magical shoe elves made this model , they are easily the MOST COMFORTABLE pair I’ve ever owned. The leather is supple and buttery, and the patented rubber sole seems extra bouncy. I toss my orthotics in these and I can wear em all day! And because of the supple leather, they were good to go out of the box. No break in time! Love em!

This is not my first rodeo. I’ve been buying Dr. Martens for the past decade and I was upset about this pair. For what you pay you expect quality. When I received this pair, a day late due to shipping delays, I open the already mangled Zappos box to find a pair of boots that look great and feel amazing, but have a very noticeable cut on the side of the shoe (picture attached). I’m just disappointed in general and unfortunately have to return them.

Fits well. Leather is pretty soft and broke in pretty quickly. I bought them for a weekend motorcycle safety course and by the end of the second day they were feeling pretty great! No blisters or any awful break-in period.

My first pair of Dr. Martens and I love the bad ass style and the signature yellow stitching. You definitely need to wear high rise socks with these otherwise it will black ink rub off on your ankles and leg.

This version does not have the ankle support I was looking for. If that is why you’re investing in Docs, this isn’t the right pair.

I’ve wanted these shoes for almost thirty years and I FINALLY treated myself. These babies did not disappoint. They are comfortable, stylish, and broken in just enough that they felt like mine the second I put them on. Exactly what I wanted!

great boot leather stiff so it’s best to use a leather conditioner before wearing them. of course Zappos has great communication skills friendly and fast delivery

I own several different pairs & styles of docs, and these are my newest addition. And OMG! these boots! are my absolute favorite. no break in time needed. very comfortable right out of the box. when I took them out of the box, right away I noticed how buttery soft the leather felt. & much more flexible than my other docs. not stiff at all around the ankles.
the only complaints I have are, the insoles dont have much cushion and not really any arch support, & the tongue of these boots are weird. the width of the tongue is too narrow & they don’t stay centered. kind of annoying. but not a deal breaker. u can see the differences between these boots compared to my other doc boots, the Shriver Hi. u can see with these boots how soft the leather is but u can also see how crooked the tongue is compared to the Shriver boots tongue. big difference if you ask me. also, the toe box of these boots look wider and more rounded which I love. these boots overall look more casual but they can be dressed up as well. I hope the side by side picture helps u get a better picture of what these boots are like and what u can expect. hope it helps.

Holy wow I really love these and they are going to age BEAUTIFULLY. The leather is supple but not thin. The “black cherry” reads more like “baked black cherry” to me; a bit browner than expected but that’s Ok because the match one of my favorite belts PERFECTLY. The fit is great because of the supple leather and the break-in period is going to be like 5 days of wearing around. My show inserts make me wonder if I should have gone a size up, but then it might all be too loose after break-in. ¯\_(?)_/¯
I really enjoyed relacing them with a double-helix style, and might get some yellow laces to pop these boots up a bit. I wear my pants with a big break at the front, so the laces are only visible when I am moving.

I am always a size 10 US, and generally have large, wide feet, but my feet were swimming in the recommended size, even with my inserts in! Unfortunately have to return. The leather felt and looked great, just wish they fit.

These are just perfect! I have a wider foot with a high arch and I normally wear a shoe size 7.5 to 8. I read some reviews and saw they run a tad big and to order a size down. I was nervous, but I ordered a 7. They fit perfect and I love them!!!!

My favorite Doc Martns! No need to break them in. The leather is soft enough where you can wear regular socks. No blisters. The leather has slight grain so if you are rough on your shoes it will be forgiving and if you scuff them up, a little liquid shoe polish or leather conditioner will help them “heal”. I wear a size 7 and with with socks-I double up on my socks-the size 7 were too tight, the size 9 were too lose around the ankles-the size 8 were perfect. These boots aren’t as big or wide as people say they are so if you are in between sizes then I would go at least one or even two sizes up.
