Used to have some doc martens many years ago and really loved how comfortable they were, these were not very comfortable and extremely stiff. I did not have time to break them in and who knows how long it takes to soften them up but the souls in general were not very comfortable for me

Was so excited about these. They have a side zip. Since you cannot cinch the laces tight there is a gap around the ankle. They are not comfortable and the grommets are not brass, they seem cheap. Not a great representation of the brand and I love Docs. They were so cute too…..bummed.

Great boots! And more comfortable than they were in the 90s.

These boots are dreamy! I usually run 8 to 81/2 and I ordered these in 8 since Docs are usually kinda roomy on me. When I put them on the first time I was afraid they were too small. They were snug with regular weight socks on but once I got them all laced up and took a few steps, it took no time at all for these to fit like a glove. These are definitely shaped for a woman’s foot so there isn’t all that empty space in the toe box and heel that I have always had to compensate for in my other Docs, by lacing them to the point of cutting off circulation. If you are want the option to wear heavy socks you will want to size up. The “rose gold” hardware, is really more of a shiny-penny copper which is ok, I could take or leave the extra bling TBH. I still have to untie the laces to get them on and off so the zipper is kind of useless and I do worry that it might compromise the life span of the boots in general. We’ll see. The “nappa” leather is the way to go, virtually no break-in time, they just continue to get more comfortable each day. The “smooth” leather is just way too stiff and I expect they will crack much faster because of the coating on them. All in all I can highly recommend these boots! They are so very very comfortable and I am on my feet all day.
