I feel that they definitely fit true to size in this style. I am usually a 9 and listened to other reviews saying size down but it was instantly apparent when I tried on the size 8 that I originally ordered wasn’t going to fit. Zappos made exchanging for my correct size so easy! The size 9 definitely fits comfortably. Many reviews also mention how heavy the sole is, which is typical of docs, but for me I much more notice how stiff they are. Since the shaft is so high cut, walking is a bit clunky cuz the ankle portion doesn’t flex much, so there’s a bit of a learning curve with how to navigate in them, lol. Walking heel to toe is a bit tricky. I’ll be wearing my thickest socks while I break them in, but I’m so excited to style them!

These boots have an odd fit around the ankles and are very big platform boots. I think of clown boots when I tried them on I had to push my foot with lots of effort then once they were on the felt big around my foot. Think of clunky clod hoppers. Hey if that’s your look though then this is the shoe for you. These have a very odd fit.

These Max boots feel very similar in height and weight to the Jadon and Molly boots that I’ve owned (the Max boots have a slightly taller platform than the 1.5″ platform of the Jadon and Molly). These Max boots are easy enough to get on and they look stunning in person… but unfortunately they were a little tight in the toe box, yet slipped at the ankle. Bummer. Returned.

They were beautiful but they looked a little funny on me cus they’re so big & I’m 5’2″ with short noodle legs lol. I got my usual size (7) but my foot slid back & forth way too much, & I didn’t like the look so I returned them. I ordered a size down (6) from the official docs website and they looked better, but they’re a bit too small & pinch my big toe. It hurts but I really wanna make the size 6 work for me cus I love them so much ? We’ll see…
Summary: I’m a sharp size 7US, the size 7 is too big & size 6 is too small.

Absolutely love these boots! They’re so stylish and make me feel so cute! They are “max” which means the platform is a little extreme but that doesnt take away from their style. Like all other docs, they are a little heavy and take some breaking in, but besides that, they do it for me.
