My husband said these were way too narrow. Even trying them on standing up, hurt his feet. So sad I had to return them because they do look nice.

I ordered 5 different black Chelsea boots and this was the standout. It was the perfect mix of casual and dressier for what I needed. It wasn’t the most comfortable pair out of the box but I’ve had Doc’s before and I know they will break in. Definitely worth a try!

Love the look of these. I’m a hairstylist, when they arrived I put them on and mostly stood in one spot for several hours. Had to take them off bc it felt like I had been cut by a knife on the top of my foot. A scab formed so had to wait about ten days for that to heel, then tried again inside at work and lasted about 10 minutes bc of the same spot. I don’t trust that this will get better , although I wish it would bc I love the look, a little more dressed up than most dr. Martin’s.

A gift,; recipient was thrilled! Sleek DMs with no contrasting stitching makes these a boot for any occasion. No fan of DM because of high contrast stitching where sole meets leather, but they finally got “it” , and I bought it.

This is a nice looking Chelsea boot. I wish they offered half sizes cause I probably needed a 10.5 but went with the 11. These 11 measure about 12.5 inches which is the same as my size 10 red wing boots but they have a lot more room which makes them feel big, but I feel a full size down would be too small. Luckily for me a needed to add an insole to these cause there is no arch support or cushion really at all which I’m sure a lot of people don’t want or need in this style boot, but that extra layer made everything fit a little more snug. If you’re between sizes I’d suggest ordering down if you’re going to wear them as is, or up if you want to add some support since the insole it comes with is not removable and you’ll be adding on top of it.

These are the first pair of Doc Martens I have purchased. The soles are amazingly comfortable. They are tight to get on and the ankle area will need to be broken in some but live them so far! Wish they came in half sizes.

Okay, these are very good looking shoes but that’s where it stops. They are extremely uncomfortable. Digging into my heel. Killing my toes. They are not too big or too small When I put them on they are fine but after an hour the pain is severe! Just wrong in so many ways. I know Docs can have a break in period but I don’t know if I can keep wearing these as they are destroying my feet.

I work on my feet for 8+ hours a day and after one shift of wearing these my feet were absolutely aching. Most uncomfortable boot/shoes I have ever worn. It took my legs/feet around 2 days to recover just from the aching. I wish I had never worn them. Absolutely worst purchase I have made regarding work boot/shoes. Do not buy expecting a comfortable pair to work in. You and your feet will regret it

These boots are for work and while wearing business slacks with work in both indoors and outdoors.
I like the style, pull on feature and rugged sole. Sizing a boot, without trying on, is a gamble and I was fortunate to win this gamble. I wear a 11 sneaker, 10.5 in one boot, classic cowboy toe, and a 10 in the other boot; both Ariat boots. And a dress shoe in 10.5, so I went with a 10.
Using a break-in period prior to wearing to work. The boot uppers are very stiff and tight, so need to loosen them up some.
I’m very pleased with the product and look forward to wearing them for the purpose which bought.
Side note, haven’t needed yet, but the return policy and ease of use is pleasing as a consumer.

I really wish I could keep these great looking and well made shoes. Unfortunately, they would require a ton of breaking in just to determine if they’re worth keeping. That amount of wear would deem them unreturnable, so it was a quick return for me.

Love the look. Definitely takes some time to break them in. I found wearing thick socks and a bandage padded with cottonballs over my instep while wearing them around the house did the trick. I was worried they wouldn’t ever break in after a couple days like that, but they are well on their way to being comfortable, as Doc Marten’s are known for.

Loved the concept of the mono color theme, but the materials seemed a little cheap and the grips on the sole too small. Wanted to try out a Chelsea boot style but didn’t really look right on me. Haven’t used Zappos in a very long time but fantastic service, quick delivery and great customer care will be back.
