I have the same size in the Voss which fit perfectly, but sad that I have not been able to find another style of the Doc Martens sandals that fit as they are all way too loose in the strapping, yet if I go down in size my big toe goes over the edge of the shoe when I walk. I’ll just have to enjoy the Voss, which are very comfortable and supportive to one who usually wears a custom orthotic.

These ran not one but two sizes big on me. I am a 7 in Doc boots and in most other brands so it took several tries for me to nail the size on these. Both the 7 and 6 were comically oversized on me. SIZE. DOWN. Once I got the right fit, though, I was in love. There will definitely be a short break-in period on these but they were reasonably comfortable from the start and are unbelievably light for such a chunky sandal. They’re pure nineties perfection and I intend to walk all over my city in these all summer.

SO comfy and so stylish. I had someone compliment me on these shoes 10 minutes into wearing them out for the first time. They go with everything, which I love because I don’t really like owning a lot of shoes. And I love the extra lift.

Note: I bought these from another vendor, but I think my observations are very pertinent and would help potential buyers.
The straps over the instep are VERY loose with no way to adjust them, to the point they stand away from my foot with about 3/8″ space. I put a strip of moleskin foam on the entire undersides of the straps, and it did make them somewhat wearable, but my foot still flops around like crazy. They are very cute, but only designed for people with wide or very deep/thick feet. I don’t think a shoe repair could adjust them, due to the way they’re constructed. FYI.

I saw someone wearing these shoes over the weekend and couldn’t wait to get home and order a pair too. They are definitely funky but quite large. I am usually a 6 1/2 wide but can get away with size 7 medium width. However, this size 7 is definitely too big, both length and width. I’m going to order the one size smaller and then compare them. Wish me luck! I hope one works because they’re really cool sandals!

I tried these on at a Dr. Martens store, but hopefully my review is helpful since these fit so oddly.
I wear a (women’s US) 8 in almost every shoe, it’s what my Dr. Martin’s boots are as well, these do not fit like an 8 at all.
The 8 was WAY too long. I had about an inch and a half of the footbed left when I put them on. Also, the straps sat about a half inch away from my foot. They’re not adjustable so even if the length hadn’t been too big they wouldn’t have worked.
I tried the 7 also but the straps on these were way too tight, I couldn’t get my foot all the way in. Putting my foot next to the shoe they would still have been a little long for my taste by about a half inch.
Such a shame because they have such a great look. Love the chunky sole and the design, but I think you have to have a certain shaped foot for these to work.

So I got these shoes for San Diego Comic Con this year and they were a life saver for me. They felt like clouds when I first wore them, and made having to stand in the really long lines a little bit easier than normal. Of course there was a break in period, and being on my feet for 14+ hours with lots of standing and walking was going to hurt no matter what but these shoes made it hurt a little less. The only thing is the straps are kind of loose around my feet so whenever I was sitting it would sag a little and that’s was kind of annoying but there’s no way to tighten them. But it was worth it when it didn’t end up with blisters on my feet at the end of the days for all 5 days I was there.

Based on other peoples reviews I ordered this shoe in two sizes. I wear a 9.5 and since I knew they ran very larger ordered a 9 and even then 8. Sure enough the 9 was still at least a 1/2 size too big. The 8 actually fit ok, but my heel did stick out maybe 1cm past the back. I think these shoes would look cute on someone (true) size 8 or less, the bigger sizes are just too intense of a shoe for me.

I am a 9.5. I ordered a size down (8) and a 9. Returned the size down. Yes 9 is little big, and the straps over my foot don’t hug my foot but they fit better than the size down and not keeping either wasn’t an option. They are sooooo comfortable and nostalgic. I get a ton of compliments on them and am so happy with my purchase!

I absolutely love the style of these sandals; however, if you have skinny feet like I do, the straps are WAY to loose. The only things holding these sandals to my feet are the ankle straps, which is super uncomfortable. I am going to have to get the straps across the foot altered to be tighter, which I’m sure will be expensive. I would say unless you have particularly wide/thick feet, you will encounter the same issue. I would say go a size down, but I’m not sure that’d fix the fit issue or not. I am willing to keep them and spend the $ to get them altered, but if you aren’t I would probably pass on these if you’ve got skinny/normal feet.

The straps are so soft! I also think the sole was super soft and comfy! Just as always Dr. M looks cute as ever in a sandal. I had to put some paper under one strap for a night, doesn’t bother me at all.

I am so bummed these didn’t work out. I finally got up the guts to order them but the other reviews about them are correct. The three straps around the foot are just too loose. 🙁 I am a true 10, and I ordered a size 9 like people suggest and it was a good fit, length wise, but strap wise, the straps were too loose (you can kinda see in the picture) Also the only adjustable strap, the one around your ankle, is honestly just poorly placed. If I tried to make it tight, in a normal way, it cut off my circulation when I tried to walk, due to where it sits on the ankle, and if I made it looser than it still didn’t feel right. This whole sandal needs a redesign and then I would TOTALLY buy it. The foot bed of the shoe makes you feel like you’re walking on clouds, overall it’s a beautiful sandal. If the three straps along the foot were adjustable (put a buckle on each one please!) and if they moved the ankle strap up just a little higher, I think it would solve the issue of potentially cutting off circulation! Also, if you’re really set on getting docs but dunno what to do cause these don’t seem to fit anyone, try the Voss style! I ordered those too and kept them because they’re gorgeous and super adjustable!

Definitely order 1 size smaller. The 7 fits me great and I am an 8 across the board.

I have wide, flat feet, true size is 9.5. I wear a 9 in the boots so I went with an 8 for these and they fit good. The sandals definitely run one size big. The toe strap is kind of weirdly placed so it completely covers my pinky toe. I wore them for 20 minutes around the house when I first got them and the shoe itself is comfortable, but the toe strap digs into my pinky toe, easy fix with moleskin. The leather is really soft so I’m hoping they don’t rip easily. Overall happy with my purchase.

These are very oddly shaped, my pinky toe kept sliding out.

I’m suuuuper sad to say this was the worst fitting shoe I’ve ever put on. The sizing issues go beyond just size and length. I read all the reviews about the sizing and width though, and decided to give these shoes a go anyways, as I have huge, wide feet. I ordered a size 10, which is a size down from my two pair of doc marten boots, and these sandals were still somehow a full size too large. The width was ok for me since I have very wide feet, but anyone without a normal/narrow foot probably would have inches of extra space. I also have pretty short/stubby toes, so my pinky toe kept popping out of the side every time I tried to take a step. Also, I had to wear the ankle strap on the tightest setting to try to keep my foot in place in the sandal. I just tested these out around my apartment as I figured I’d have to return them, and sure enough, they’ve been returned. I’m pretty disappointed as I really love the style of the sandal.

I am a true 9 in all shoes. I ordered the 8 and they worked perfectly. They look cute with jeans and casual dresses a like and are so comfortable! I wore them all day at work and got little blisters on my ankles and pinky toe, so I suggest breaking them in before all day wear.

I absolutely love these sandals. I first ordered them in my regular size, but had to exchange for a size down because they were too big on me, so I guess they run big. They are so comfortable and stylish, I wear them all the time in the warmer months.

Obsessed with these shoes!

Be specific about your likes and dislikes. How was the fit and size? What does the material feel like? How awesome (or not) do you feel wearing them?
Joann –
I had to get one size smaller as they run big. The straps cannot be buckled to tight or else the leather is going to rub and cause blistering. Once I adjusted them to my comfort rubbing was not an issue. I overall love the style and couldn’t wait to get them. I also got my 6 year old a pair in pink.

These shoes are sooooo cute. The fact that they’re vegan leather is great bc they have the look of leather but can get somewhat wet and remain undamaged. They are incredibly comfortable, but do take some breaking in. The first time I wore them, they absolutely tore my feet to shreds. But subsequent wears (after my cuts had healed) presented no problems. I would not recommend these shoes for long walks, but they are excellent for daily use with moderate travel. And they go with just about everything! Had to go a full size down for them to fit nicely.

Got a size 11 in women’s which is my true size once I got them they were a little to big. I recommend size down

GO A FULL SIZE LOWER THAN WHAT YOU USUALLY BUY! I read reviews stating this before I purchased these for my wife, and that was the best advice. She absolutely LOVES these!

I wanted to love these sandal and after reading other reviews I sized down as suggested. I usually wear a 10 and ordered a 9 which was the correct length but the straps were way too large. All three straps across the foot were loose and there was no way to adjust them. When I tightened the ankle buckle to have at least one point of solid contact that strap cut into my ankle and I could tell right away the stiff vegan leather would cause a blister. I returned these sandals.
