I needed a pair of black boots that I could go to a warehouse, commercial showroom in could transition from professional meetings to the warehouse.
These are a dream come true.
They run between a half size and whole size big but the heel fits better than the 1460. It would be nice for the insole to be removeable as I wear arch supports and the DM insoles were really glued on so couldn’t remove them. I think these would have been too big as well if I didn’t wear those inside. I wear a Women’s 8 but if didn’t wear thick socks and the insole then would probably need a size smaller.
I tested them in our winter storm shoveling snow and inside a warehouse working afterwards and my feet stayed dry and warm. They are probably the comfiest shoes I’ve ever worn and I am a sneakerhead plus love my Tims but these are wonderful. The heel is still a little too wide and the ankle a little chunky but I absolutely love my first pair of Dr. Martens.

I’m having major problems with these boots. I know Docs are notoriously difficult to break in, but after two months of constant wear I figured I was over the hump. These were some of the most comfortable shoes I’d ever owned! Then, suddenly, my right ankle started killing me. It seems a deep crease had developed in the right boot, and was digging into my heel. I’ve tried everything – wonder balsam, thick socks, wearing loose, wearing tight, switching shoes for a while. And nothing seems to help. I’m at my wits end.

Love these boots! No need to break them in, they were comfortable the minute I put them on.

I did the sizing when ordering the boots, but they are at least a full size too small.
